Sacred Mountains

January 06, 2008

The Sacred Valley was a really interesting way to get to know more about Machu Picchu since it is related to it, and also it had many things similar since they were both made to thank their Gods. In there the stairs were steep and interesting since they were exactly made to see a better construction. In there they had many llamas around with their owners trying to get the attention to people to take pictures with them and receive money. The economy in there is mainly made for people to work with tourist. By making an interview with a couple of children around Cusco and asking the about life in there and what do they want to be when they grow up and the only thing that they want to do is to become a tour guide, none of them wanted to do anything else but that they believe that is the only thing that gives more money and the one that they can reach for. Our tour director (Edwin) told us that it was much better that they had change their minds because years before all they wanted to do was to become like their parents, which it is not as much helpful for their economy.
