January 03, 2008

Sometimes time seems to fly so fast it seems that it was yesterday when I was wondering if everything was going to come out right for me to attend to the Istory to Peru. Now I am sitting on the airplane tired because the day before I could not sleep since all I was thinking about was about Peru, since I have a couple of friends that were born there but they never had the chance to go to Machu Picchu and now I was heading there with their perspectives also.
Once we arrived to the airport in Lima, Peru the first interesting thing that catch my attention was the way they had a bunch of ladies dress up in their skirts and nice shirt selling cell phones for those that were staying in Peru for a longer time, they had cell phones for about fifty dollars and with a phone card of two dollars, since the phones needed minutes to call others.

Another thing that catch my attention was the way people were waiting for their relatives with so many antions, it seems that they had not seen them in years and now they were expected to be treated like kings, they had posters, balloons, flowers, presents and other things that would make them happy to see them, there where also so many people waiting only for one person it seemed that the whole entire family would go and pick up one person.

By the time we got back to the airport we were welcome by a gentleman name Edwin Gradea that took us practically running put of the airport to head towards the Hotel los Embajadores, which they treat us so well and introduced us to the Coca leaf that made us all wonder if we shall try it or not, some where tough enough to try it and liked it while I felt unsecured so I decided to wait and see the consequence of the others. To made me more confidence about or tour director Edwin who wanted us to be introduced with the Coca leaf was that he tried it too and it seem to make others feel better, so I decided to give it a try that gave me more energy for the next day.
